I should so be doing some of my home work right now….. But I’m lazy and don’t feel like doing it. Actually – I’m just a procrastinator. Either way – I’m not doing my homework.

Anyway – sooooo, yeah. This whole, stay at home and go to school and not work thing….. I may actually lose my mind. I have a lot of time on my hands that I don’t know what to do with half the time so I spend a lot of time cleaning or sitting on my couch. I need a hobby, but the only problem is that I’m now on a fixed income and only get paid once a month. So I don’t really have too much extra money to spend on a hobby. I heard about geocaching – which seems like the perfect hobby because I love to be out doors. Only problem is, I don’t have a GPS. Which is like, pretty important if you’re going to be looking for coordinates to find stuff.

Also – I know pretty much all the theme songs to all the shows my kid watches. Horrible. We watch them like…… 50 billion times a day.

Uhm. Yeah. There’s no point to this post. I’ll stop now because I don’t really have anything interesting to write about.

I’ve been so swamped with homework the last couple days I haven’t posted every day or every other day like I’ve been wanting to. Oops. Plus I haven’t really had anything interesting to post.

There’s alot of drama going on in my relationship lately, and it sucks. I don’t really want to write too much about it because I’m pretty sure my boyfriend knows about my blog, but I don’t know if he reads it. But I will say that communication is KEY in relationships. Even marriages will fail without communication.

More tommorrow, I need to go to bed. It’s late and I have to be up with the Monkey and my god baby in the morning!

The other day I put the Monkey down for her nap and decided to go lay down too. Probably a bad idea. Well about 20 minutes after I had put her in the crib I guess she decided that she was done napping and was ready to play. Do you see where this is headed?

Well, in the process of her trying to climb out of the crib, she got her WHOLE knee stuck in the slats. Uhm, just in case you didn’t know, my kid is kinda chunky ( I LOVE IT! She’s not overweight for her age or size, but she has some seriously JUICY thighs.) so her knee being stuck was crazy. She started screaming bloody murder and I went in there to find out why and was shocked to see her knee in the slats. I got her out ( with no bruises or broken bones, YAY) and decided that it was time to take the crib down. She was obviously done with it. I took it down right then. We don’t have a toddler bed yet, but my parents are building her a platform bed to the size of her mattress (coolest thing ever, no?!!)

I expected bedtime that night to be a long drawn out fight. To my amazement however, when I put homegirl in bed and told her night night, she said it back and stayed in place. I went in to check on her about 20 minutes later and she was passed the hell out and hadn’t moved from the spot I laid her in! She didn’t get out of bed until I went in the next morning!!! No problems last night either. I’m so excited! Now that I’ve written this though, I’ve probably jinxed myself and will have to fight with her to get her to go to bed tonight. Oh well.

How’s your day???

New Stuff

16Sep09

Ok, so it’s been quite some time since I’ve posted. I’ve been REALLY busy.

So here’s the update: I got laid off from my job, I’m now a full time student, I have my own apartment, my boyfriend is living with me now.

Details? Oh, ok. I suppose.

I got laid off simply because the company I was working for is going through the slow season, and the recession seriously hurt them. My shift just so happened to be the slowest shift during the slow season, and was eliminated because of it. No hard feelings.

I’m now attending college full time. I’m most excited about this one. I’m finally in school and it’s been an adjustment so far, but I’m liking it. I don’t like my algebra professor – but that’s ok. I have a back up and I seem to be getting along pretty well on my own anyway. I take one class on campus, and the other three are all online. My GI bill is paying me a housing allowance that is making it possible to stay home too, school is definitely a plus. I may need to get a part time job to have spending money – but my bills are covered, and thats what matters.

Finally moved into my own place a couple months ago and am truly loving it. I don’t so much love the bills, but who does?

And now to the boyfriend issue….. He is living with me. The a/c in his apartment went out at the beginning of August, and the maintenance never fixed it. He ended up sending them a letter notifying them that they had 7 days to fix it or he was going to terminate the lease, they didn’t fix it and he terminated the lease. Since he doesn’t have any family in town, he’s living with me until he finds another place. Things are ok so far, but I’m hoping he finds a place soon so that we don’t get too comfortable and end up living together permanently. I’m not ready for that.

Anyway – I’m finally getting myself together, and adjusting to the school schedule so I’ll post more often. I’m going to try to post daily from now on, but if not daily then at least every other day.

All of a sudden, The Monkey likes to cuddle when she’s sleepy.

All my bills are caught up – and I have food in the fridge.

I’m finally comfortable enough with my self that I can sit in my apartment in silence, and not be itching to be somewhere else.

I learned this week that if it’s not going to matter tomorrow, next week, or next month – it’s just NOT worth arguing about.
